Nélida has an Associate’s Degree in Interior Design, a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, and an MBA in Project Management from the Universidad Ana G. Mendez in Puerto Rico. After working with two architecture & engineering firms and the most recognized signage company from Puerto Rico, Nélida moved to Chicago in 2017 with her daughter Alejandra and her tropical dog Lily. Since then, Nélida has been applying all her design and construction knowledge to the BIM lifecycle on a variety of projects such as hospitals, theaters, residential, institutional, manufacturer, and furniture companies. Nélida’s mastery with design, construction, project management, and BIM has led her to Northworks to take their BIM department to the next level. She is excited to be surrounded by a lot of creative people at Northworks. In her spare time, you can find Nélida taking care of her plants with a cup of coffee in her hand, doing yoga or taking a run with her dog, cooking, going to live concerts, and collecting vinyl records.
